Cheap Afternoon Project: Yarn Scraps Wreath

What do you do with yarn scraps that are too woolly and rough for a scarf? Wind them around a dollar floral wreath, add a few crocheted stars or flowers, and you have colorful door decor on the cheap.

I used:
$1 foam floral wreath (from a dollar store)
aqua, teal, and white wool yarn scraps (free)
size E crochet hook (to make the stars)
p. 377 of Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Needlework (last published in 1979, try your library)

As I'm padding our cozy cottage for winter I'm feeling inspired by retro color schemes like aqua and teal, fabrics with big texture like burlap and corduroy, and a homespun, DIY feel to gifting and decor.
