Cheap Afternoon Project: Painting the New Digs

This is my mentor, Darcy. She helped me repaint my classroom as part of her last, official mentor duties.

The funny thing is, this is a complete before shot. The walls weren't even entirely green. They weren't entirely offwhite, or aqua either.

Yeaaah. We covered that paint schizophrenia with a coat of Behr's Tuscan Beige (I originally thought it said Tucson Beige and I was really excited for a few minutes).

Unfortunately, I am locked out my room until August. So, no after pix until then. For now, just examine the evidence with horror.

Yeah the green makes it look like an operating room...
Eww, gross!

"Step right up, kids, and we'll just remove your brains."

You should paint some Trompe d'oleile windows with outside views so the kids can pretend they can see outside...
Actually, they can see out the windows. I should paint a new view on the windows, since what they can see is a nasty cinder block wall.
