We took a trip this past weekend back to our home town of Gallup, NM. I (Sarah) hadn't been back since we moved down to Tucson, so I got quite a kick out of all the distinctly "Gallupian" landscapes.
Even with a chain of accidents on the way back slowing down down our return, each way was still about 9-11 hours (including a stop-over at IKEA!). So, not a quick trip by any means, but totally doable for our '99 Buick and our 26-week-old fetus. Yay for truck stops and Haagan Daz ice cream bars! (Sarah) Yay for coffee! (Pete)
