The coop ended up being so delayed that we improvised a different solution. Instead of a 4'x5' coop, we are attaching a 4'x2' hutch! (In the video on Facebook, we talk about moving it to the other side of the run.)
The price was right, since it was $220 at the Feed Store (rather than $500 for a full-sized coop) with a $20 delivery charge. It's also already painted Amanda's favorite color.
It should be a nice height for her to be able to see and care for the chickens, although I'll have to help lift that roof up when she's gathering eggs.
Just making it extra-pretty with Behr's Cyber Grape on the roof. It has a sturdy shingled roof, but this lighter shade might cool it down a little in our heat.
